This notice explains how personal data of visitors to iklimfinansman.org is processed, with whom it may be shared and what rights you have. It is issued under Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and reflects the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

At the end of the project the website and its data will be transferred to the Directorate of Climate Change, and this notice will be updated accordingly.

3. Transfer of personal data
Your personal data may be shared, only to the extent necessary for the purposes above, with:
- The hosting provider — for the technical operation of the website
- The e-mail delivery service — for newsletter distribution
- The analytics provider (Google Analytics) — for aggregated visit statistics
- The Contracting Authority and the beneficiary institution — for project reporting, as a rule in aggregated and de-identified form; event participant lists are the exception
- Competent public authorities — where required by law
Some service providers operate servers outside Türkiye (in the European Union and/or the United States). Any such transfer is carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK.

5. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is being processed,
- request information if it has been processed,
- learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used accordingly,
- know the third parties to whom the data has been transferred, in Türkiye or abroad,
- request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
- request erasure or destruction of the data under the conditions set out in the law,
- request that correction, erasure or destruction be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred,
- object to a result against you arising from analysis solely by automated systems,
- claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.
6. How to apply
Send your request to [email protected] or in writing to the project office address above. Your application will be answered within 30 days. If your request is refused or unanswered, you may file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board.

This notice may be revised following changes in legislation or updates to the website. The current version is always published on this page.
